Operating Systems
Processes, memory, files, drivers, boot — what every OS does under the hood, before you commit to one.
What you'll actually learn
Before you specialize in Linux, Windows, or anything else, this track covers what every operating system has to solve regardless of brand: how processes get scheduled, how memory is managed and protected between programs that don't trust each other, how a filesystem actually stores your files, and what happens between power-on and a usable prompt. It's the layer underneath the OS you'll eventually pick, not a substitute for learning that OS.
What you'll be able to do
You'll be able to explain — accurately, not by analogy — why a program that leaks memory eventually gets killed, why two processes can crash into each other without one crashing the whole machine, and what a "boot failure" actually means at the point it happens. That foundation is what makes every OS-specific skill afterward click faster instead of feeling like a new pile of unconnected facts.
