Networking
Subnetting, routing, and firewalls — how packets actually get where they are going.
What you'll actually learn
Networking is usually taught as a stack of acronyms to memorize in order. This track instead follows one question all the way through: how does a packet you send actually find its way to a server on the other side of the world and back? Subnetting, routing tables, and firewall rules stop being separate topics once you see them as the three things a packet has to survive, in sequence, on every single hop of that trip.
What you'll be able to do
You'll take a network that's silently dropping traffic — a bad subnet mask, a missing route, an overly aggressive firewall rule — and isolate exactly which of the three is responsible before touching a single config file. That diagnostic instinct is what separates someone who can recite OSI layers from someone you'd actually trust with a production network.
