Cloud Fundamentals
IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, shared responsibility, regions, elasticity — what the cloud actually is.
What you'll actually learn
"The cloud" is really three different levels of how much you manage yourself versus how much a provider manages for you — IaaS, PaaS, SaaS — and a shared responsibility line that decides who's on the hook when something breaks. This track makes that line concrete: exactly which failures are your fault, which are the provider's, and why "the cloud" doesn't mean "someone else's problem now."
What you'll be able to do
Given a real outage or security incident description, you'll be able to identify which side of the shared responsibility line it actually falls on — a misconfigured setting you controlled, or genuinely a provider failure — which is exactly the judgment call that separates someone who's used cloud services from someone who understands them.
