Databases: The Foundations
How structured data is really organized, and why it works this way.
What you'll actually learn
Every database course jumps straight to SQL syntax and skips the part that actually matters: why data gets organized into tables and rows in the first place, and what breaks when it isn't. This track starts from the real problem — how do you store data so it survives a crash, stays consistent when two things try to change it at once, and can still be found in milliseconds — and builds normalization, indexes, and transactions as the concrete answers, not abstract rules to memorize.
What you'll be able to do
You'll design a schema for a real scenario — say, an e-commerce order system — and be able to explain exactly why a bad design corrupts data under concurrent writes or grinds to a halt as the table grows, instead of just knowing "normalize to third normal form" as a rule you follow without understanding.
