Advanced Linux
Processes, systemd, and performance under the hood.
What you'll actually learn
Past the basics, Linux stops being about commands and starts being about mechanisms: how systemd actually manages the boot sequence and every service's lifecycle rather than just "starting things," what a process really looks like to the kernel scheduler, and where performance problems genuinely come from instead of where they're usually blamed. This is the layer where "it's slow" turns into a specific, provable answer.
What you'll be able to do
You'll take a system under real load, use the right tools to find exactly which process, and which resource, is actually the bottleneck — not guess based on what's using the most CPU on a glance — and read a systemd unit well enough to know precisely what will happen when it starts, restarts, or fails. That's the difference between managing a Linux box and actually understanding what it's doing.
