Python
A readable, beginner-friendly language for automation, scripting and data work.
What you'll actually learn
Python's reputation as "beginner-friendly" is true, but this track treats that as a starting point, not the destination — you go from basic syntax to writing real automation and data-processing scripts that do something you actually needed done, not toy exercises. The language gets out of your way fast, which means the real learning curve is in thinking clearly about the problem, not fighting the syntax.
What you'll be able to do
You'll write a script that takes messy, real input — a folder of inconsistent files, an API response, a CSV with missing fields — and turns it into something usable, handling the edge cases that toy tutorials conveniently skip. That's the actual, unglamorous skill behind "knows Python": not syntax recall, but being trusted to automate something without it silently breaking on the first weird input.
