Git

Version your work like every professional team on Earth: commits, branches, merges, remotes — and how to undo mistakes.

Prerequisite: Shell

What you'll actually learn

Most people learn just enough Git to add, commit, and push, then panic the first time something goes wrong — a merge conflict, a commit on the wrong branch, history that needs rewriting. This track treats the recovery commands as core material, not an afterthought: you'll deliberately create the exact messes that panic people (a bad merge, a commit you need gone, a branch history you need to rewrite) and practice fixing them until it's routine.

What you'll be able to do

You'll resolve a real merge conflict without guessing which side to keep, recover a commit you thought was lost using reflog, and rewrite a messy branch history into something reviewable — the difference between someone who avoids Git because it's scary and someone a team can actually trust with shared history.
